By Road


To enter the region by motorway from the East, choose the M4, which links directly to the M5 at Bristol. Continue down the M5 to Exeter ( Estimated direct journey time London to Exteter 3 hours and 30 minutes). From the M5 take the A38.


The M3 from London offers a more leisurely drive to the South West once it joins the A303. The dual carriageway gives the opportunity to pass by Stonehenge, and to continue on through small villages and market towns.

By Rail


The South West is served by an excellent rail network covering the entire region. The London mainline stations of Paddington and Waterloo both offer direct services with the fastest travel time to Exeter of just over two hours. Rail links from the North of England and the Midlands provide excellent high speed travel to the South West through Birmingham New Street.
