Tower Inn, Slapton
This award winning old pub tucked away in the centre of the delightful and historic village of Slapton is a haven for lovers of good food, fine wines and real ales. The pub is approached down a narrow lane leading into a small courtyard car park. Step through the porch into a low-ceilinged, rustic bar with beams and pillars, scrubbed oak tables, church pew seating, log fires, wine-coloured walls, flagstone floors and bare boards. At the rear of the pub there is a lovely walled garden which overlooks the tower.

The Tradesman's Arms is a fine, turn of the 14th Century, part thatched pub and restaurant, with beams, log-burning fires & lovely cosy atmosphere, tucked away in the village of Stokenham. Now open seven days a week at lunchtimes and in the evenings The Tradesmans Arms is listed in many guides.
The New Angel, Dartmouth
After spending a year in France rediscovering his love for food Michelin starred chef John Burton-Race and his family moved to Devon. They took over the famous Carved Angel restaurant in Dartmouth and re-opened it as 'The New Angel' in May 2004.
From then on it has been all go for the family... the restaurant achieved a Michelin star after only 7 months of trading. This was follwed by John's second series 'Return of the Chef' being aired on channel 4 in January 2005
